Daniel Somber - (Born in 1993 in Zamość, Poland) a freelance photographer currently based in Spain, Andalusia. As far as he can remember, photography has always been present in his life and a compact film camera accompanied every family holidays. When he was 17 years old he had a serious leg injury while skateboarding. That situation pushed him to a new passion - photography. At the beginning he documented the skateboarding environment in the urban space of his hometown. After graduating from high school he moved to Lublin and started studying at the Lublin School of Art and Design and began experimenting with analog photography. During his studies he developed his first long-term project focusing on the documentation of the skateboarding culture in the urban space. After finishing school he moved to the Czech Republic which inspired him to work on a new long term photographic project - the underground urban space of Prague. Being one of the crowd, travelling every day together with half a million strangers by subway, his camera became a tool of escapism. In recent years he has been moving away from the urban scenery towards wild nature where he finds freedom and peace of mind. Photography and traveling are currently his greatest passions.
